Recommendations for a flat bed car hauler

I posted this in the Sunseeker forum, but didn't get much attention so here goes again...

We have decided to use a flat bed to tow our vehicles due to the different ones we may use in various situations. If you have experience using a flat bed we would appreciate your input into our purchase and use.

We tow a 20ft flat bed steel car hauler, with our 2005 Chevrolet Suburban on board.
The only thing I might change would be to purchase a 20ft aluminum flat bed car hauler.

We tow a 20' aluminum flat bed and a Toyota RAV4 awd behind our Georgetown no complaints at all, aluminum keeps the weight down works great for us.

My recommendation is a steel trailer. Any welder can repair steel or add stuff on. Many fewer can weld al. Ours is a 16' open car hauler. Once in Alaska we had to have the fenders welded back on because my home made kayak rack was wobbling and I tied it to the fenders with ratchet straps. Stopped for gas near Glenallen and I saw the cracks. Had seen a welding sign so we went back to the shop. He rewelded the fenders and added some real tie downs in just a few minutes. No problems after and still use the tie downs.

I use a steel deck 16 foot open car trailer. Haul our 1962 Falcon mostly, but can haul DW's Escape. Have used it for over 50000miles and like the fact I can back up and haul bikes and tote also.
