Remember to sanitize...

Just a reminder about sanitizing your hoses. Last outing, I wrapped my Zero G hose around my home made holder and threw it in the basement. Apparently it was wet enough on the outside to mild / mildew the holder. If that happens while the hose has air around it, just think about the inside!!! I’m running the sanitizing water (bleach) out of the fresh water tank thru this hose now.

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered that will happen with wet stuff exposed to air. I usually roll up my hoses and than connect the male to female ends together to limit the exposure to outside air.

I have an older Zero-G hose that has acquired what looks like mildew on the outer fabric/stuff. It's an old hose that I just use for gardening/car-washing so it really doesn't matter much.

I always sanitize the inside of my Zero-G RV water hoses, though. I use a plastic baby pool to sanitize my sewer hoses and fittings in the fall and partially fill it by pouring some bleach-water through the hoses. Then I pour some clean water through them and hang them from the rafters of my garage to thoroughly dry. Finally, I coil them and attach the ends together.
