RV door locks

Is their a way to add or improve the standard door lock on the doors to RVs? The lock system that it came with is "fair" at best. And I am hoping to either had an additional lock or replace the one that comes from the factory. Anyone have any suggestions, ideas or solutions?
Thanks
Tom

Depending on what you want to spend…….I replaced my lock with the keyless lock from rvlock.com (bought when they had the recent sale of $35.00 off and included an additional remote key fob). Took 15 minutes to install and program. Works great and seems to hold the door closed tighter than the factory lock. And I won't have to hear "I need the key" anymore!

I bought the rvlock just waiting to be install as soon as I can get my TT back from service, I'm getting a observation backup camera install.

There is a lot of post on this, type in the search 'rvlock' and you will see all of the post.

I have seen residential dead bolts added to rv doors before. I'm not brave enough to take a hole saw to my door though.

Buzzing thru Facebook page today. Love how electronic tracking knows I have a TT. Anyway, RVLOCK is in the list - today only 20% off with discount code "KEYLESS20".

I also just purchased one today with Keyless20 and ended up coming out to $192. Great deal!!! Now I hope it fits the new Flagstaff 27bhws that I'm picking up the end of the month.

Rv locks are poor but if they want in they will just break a window. I changed keys mainly so I could have 1 instead of 4 and also so I would not have master keys and S001/CH751 keys that everyone has on storage.

Rvlocksandmore.com and ch751.com both will give custom keys. I like the keypads but I keep a spare key in the truck and it has a keypad.

New locks was cheaper than paying the locksmith $35 a lock (i had 8 locks but 4 handles rest were cam locks) and only took 45-60 min to do the whole job. I did have to trim baggage locks a bit which extended the time. Someone smarter just shimmed them.

Agree with the previous posters. I am not really sure what you can do to harden up your RV. But you can get different locks and remove the generic keys to keep temptation at bay. I replaced all my locks to a matching key and not be a generic key everyone has. I too used RV Locks. I was was very satisfied.
