Securing bike on OE Rear Platform

My 2019 Rockwood Signature 5er has the OE platform rack on the rear. I want to eventually mount 2 or 3 Yakima Aero Raptor bike mounts on the platform but in the meantime, I’m considering putting a single bike on the platform. It has a single post to support the bike. Does anyone have any tips on how to secure a bike on the platform rack?

I've been able to get 3 bikes on a similar platfprm using ratchet straps. The first faces driver side, second faces passenger side. Third faces driver side. One strap goes around the handlebars of the two facing drivers side. Second strap goes around the seat posts of the same two bikes. Third strap goes front to back over all 3. So far, so good.

Thanks. The post that’s provided with the rack is not very stable so the ratchet straps sounds like a good idea. Similar to how I’ve secured my motorcycle when transporting it. The bikes don’t have quick release axles so a fork lock won’t work.

We have the same rack. I bought a hitch and mounted it to my bumper; however, I mounted it so it points upward. I have a four bike rack that I set into the hitch. I then mount the bikes onto the 4 bike rack and bungee the bikes to the cargo rack. Has worked great for 3 years and we take four bikes wherever we go.
