We’re looking at maybe taking off our shower doors for another solution and wondering what others have done. The glass doors are restrictive and I’ve whacked my elbow on the door knobs a few times. Has anybody switched out for a curtain solution? If so, did you keep the side glass panels in place and use the existing top track for the curtain rod?

Went ahead and removed the shower doors which were easy to do. Just removed the rubber guides in the top track and the doors slid out. Bought a fabric shower curtain liner that’s weighted and bought rings. Since the liner was a little long and dragged on the shower floor, I folded the top edge a few times and put a hole through the existing hole. Now it’s off the floor. Haven’t actually showered yet but no more bagging my elbow on the sliding door knobs plus it feels bigger standing inside. I’m sure there will need to be some fine tuning, like water cleanup...

In my 2013 MicroLite 21DS, I wish I had the doors. Water from the shower curtain always seems to make it's way to the floor outside, no matter how careful I am. The new models of my trailer now have the door.
Agree, this might turn out to be an exercise in futility but just felt like I had to try it. only set back about $17 for curtain and rings and the doors go back on easily. I’ll know in a couple of weeks when we camp next.

Camping with this latest modification now. I have to say it has worked out just fine. The DW and I have showered a few times and no water on the floor outside. I think the biggest benefit is not being restricted by the shower doors. Now I shower and dry off and move about freely.

Clever solution and it looks great! Glad it works well, too. Nicely done
