sluggish propane

We are currently on our spring romp thru BC in our 2010 Rockwood 2305s TT. Had a few friends in for dinner and prepped to cook a big meal on the Barbie. Turned out to be a disaster. My BBQ which attaches to the unit and uses house propane would not heat up so meat took forever and was as tough as my mother in law. Puzzled, I stopped at Apex RV in Penticton BC. Raj, the repairman listed carefully to my complaint. Ignoring the BBQ, he asked me how my stove burners were behaving. I explained that our water was taking longer in the AM brewing coffee. Aha, he explained, got out his propane pressure meter and tested the entire system. Turned out my propane regulator was faulty. He replaced it, tested the entire system, which was overdue and "bob's ur uncle", everything now works better than new. Just a note to all of you in the event your BBQ is not performing or if the flame on your stove has diminished. It may well be your propane regulator.

sluggish propane

Hi Ford Idaho

Ur guess was wrong. My main propane regulator at the tanks was shot and was only pushing out half of what it should. Service man tried to adjust the set screw but it was seized. He then replaced the main regulator for 65.00 plus labor, checked the entire system out for leaks and everything worked much better including the bbq.
