Husky Centerline TS
For those of us with the Husky Centerline TS Hitch, the installation manual states:
"Keep lift brackets clean, and using a light lubrication on the lift bracket support surfaces to keep rust to a minimum is acceptable."

I use two drawstring bags that formerly stored our Bass Pro folding camping rocking chairs. The chairs are long gone but the bags are really thick and the right size. When camping they stow nicely outside on the battery rack. At home, on a shelf in the garage.

Never greased my Equal-i-zer bars nor the L brackets. Just the hitch head sockets.
At the campground, I just put the bars under the A-frame. At home, they stand in a corner of the garage.

Never greased the bars or L brackets, but I do grease the contact points on the hitch.
I store mine by laying them across the tongue just behind the jack and in front of the propane tanks.

Cut couple pieces of pvc just long enough to cover the ends with the grease and put a cap on one end drill a hole for apiece of string and slip on the end tie it and no more grease all over the place

2x that. And I love the looks we get when I pull out a heavy rifle case before we're hook up!

All good suggestions. I use a long, heavy-duty plastic storage box that is stored in the bed of my pickup truck. The bed has a lockable hard tonneau cover so the box is secure.

I just leave mine on the L brackets back a little further so they balance there.

I have always placed all of my towing gear under the front of my TT out of the way and out of the weather. I have never had a problem here in Alabama or in the southeast area campgrounds (8 years camping). If I ever have ANYTHING stolen, I will reconsider storage possibilities.
Here in the south, God taught us, if it is not yours, find out who it belongs too and safely return it.
Happy camping

I really can't imagine somebody bothering to steal a WDH bar. That would be so odd.

The towing equipment is generally heavy so they would have to expend energy to haul them away. Most thieves are lazy and that would be to much like WORK.

I use this pants leg idea for my BBQ tools.
As for the anti sway bar, I just lob it in there with the hitch, leveling bars, shovels, etc. I'm not afraid of getting my hands dirty.

For most turns you shouldn't have to remove the Equal-I-Zer hitch bars. I found that to be a big advantage over the old friction sway bars. I can almost jackknife my trailer and the bars don't need to be removed. I have a great way of storing the bars, though, and will share it with you as soon as I can get a picture of the installation. The cost is about $25 for all the parts and there is no drilling into the trailer frame. Will post soon.

this is a great topic. I was just thinking about this the other day. I do not grease the bar that comes in contact with the L bracket that attaches to the TT frame. (I have the equalizer bracket jacket). I do, however, put a light coat of grease on the other end where the pins connect it to the hitch head.
I store mine, currently, by taking the hitch pry bar (yeesh, can't remember what that is called specifically) laying it down in the TT front storage perpendicular.. then I place the ungreased ends in first with the more dirty ends up on the pry bar off off the TT floor. I've been thinking I need a better method to do this.
As for thieves... those bars are heavy and will bring in some cash if someone takes them. Honestly? I just don't want to make it easy on an opportunistic person who might see them, and take them. It would screw up MY day. And the cost of replacement and ability to go get new ones (quickly) would seriously affect my attitude towards humanity. And towing without them is a serious no-no.

Will have to get these. I travel off road with my Jeep and A122S and have found small stones up on the L brackets and sand under the bars.

LTDunltd, that would be even more reason not to lube that end, grease will attract more sand and crap and make it all stick.
