Storing A Power Cord

If you have a power cord that fully detaches for storage, aren't you tired of rolling up and stuffing, shoving your power cord into your unit? Then washing your hands of all the dirt and grime you accumulated? While shopping for unrelated items last month, I spotted the solution to my frustration. A plastic Christmas wreath storage container, similar to the pix here works beautifully. Only costs about $10.

I wrap my 50amp cord inside of a 5 gallon bucket. It can be a challenge at times!

I just wear mechanics gloves, wrap it and use 2 bungies to keep it wrapped up.

Sorry about the size of the pix, but you get the idea.

I purchased a reel from Camping World and installed it in the bay. Cord rolls on and off very easily and without any hassle.

Neat idea, but I wonder if that would hold up over repeat uses.

Most of our trips are on 30A only so I use my 50A-30A from the rig and use 30A cords. They aren't too bad to clean and coil. The 50A monster is another thing all together...

That's Sweet OC...but it looks like it will be too small for my 50AMP rig
(X-Large says 50 ft 30 amp shore power cord)

With my 5th wheel, the 30 amp cord lives in the driver side propane tank compartment in front of the bottle. My 2 25 foot coax cables live behind the bottle.

Wouldn't it be easier for you OC to just invent and manufacture something? I wonder you should take the time to shop at all.

Cord....my camper has a cord? I wonder where it is? I use mine so infrequently that it's like an old fashioned telephone cord. All springy like... It's wrapped up with Velcro straps. Somewhere.

OC - do you think this would be big enough to store my 25' 50 AMP cord?
