Traveling During Thanksgiving Holidays

Just a heads up to other forum members who may be thinking of traveling during the Thanksgiving week holiday... Make your reservations early. Its not just that RV sales are way up and more travelers are on the road, but also some campgrounds are enforcing Covid limits to the number of reservations they are accepting. I'm traveling that week from Florida to Colorado and had to make a bunch of calls to find spots to stay overnight.

Yeah, we're already being told this as well when booking sites too. Apparently this is the only way most campgrounds can reassuringly keep up with just how many people are on their grounds from a safety aspect.

The large numbers of campers are not just at campgrounds folks who have camped for years over thanksgiving on USFS land by my ranch are finding the campsites taken by out of area folks.
