VIN Number

Does anyone know where the VIN number on a 2003 Sandpiper is located.

Four places to look, (1)-On your registration from MVA/DMV, (2)-on the frame most likely on the left side and it would be stamped in the tongue area (3)-printed on the sticker on the left front of the trailer on the out side or (4)- inside of one of the cabinets in the camper.

One more place is on the axles. Required to be stamped into the tongue and the axles, in all states I think.

windrider, I never heard of the axles because if they have to be replaced I don't think they would restamp the axles with the V.I.N. number of the camper.

I know it's the law in North Carolina, especially if you build a trailer and try to get it titled. Been there, done that. I suppose it's to keep track of the parts in case your trailer winds up in a chop shop somewhere. Not sure what happens if an axle gets replaced. Probably nothing, like when an engine gets swapped in a car, does anybody get a new title with the correct engine number? One thing the car buffs look for, does the engine and VIN numbers correspond. But like engines in cars, not all that often an axle gets replaced.
