What flashlights do you keep on board?
I'll try to post pics of what I carry.
I love the Streamlight Strion, small and powerfull! Years ago I got a pair of these to mount on my commuter bicycle, and cars would flash their highs at me because they were so bright!
The Sabrelight wand is good for a wide beam.
The 120 volt light is good for lighting up large areas for those late night pull-ins in those remote areas to aid setting up. But it needs the generator.

There is not anything much better than a 3 to 5 cell MAGLIGHT. Plus one can use it as a club if necessary. I have one on the trailer, one in the truck and several here at the house.

I will have to agree with you about Maglites. I bought several different sizes many years ago. They are damn near indestructible. I'm not even sure how many I have, but they are everywhere I might need them. I have run over them and they still work.
My buddies make fun of my 'old technology' with their super bright modern flashlights. But when their fancy, expensive flashlights quit for whatever reason, my old maglites are still going

The only “flashlights” I use these days are headlights. I probably have a dozen or so, at home and scattered about in vehicles. They keep the hands free to work, and are plenty bright. The variety that also include a red light for preserving night vision are best for camping.

Back in the 70's I carried a 5 D-cell Kel-Light with the big wide head (company became MagLight later). Indestructible and made a "billy club" when needed. The only game in town until StreamLight came around. My how things have changed since then (the 80's).
Now it's all LED lights. I still have some high end "cop lights" like the S6 with LED conversion head and my M3 which is so bright with the LED head I had made that you can see the beam on the sidewalk at high noon in the summer sun (and I don't mean in the shade, but in the full sun). But for everyday the more common rechargable LED lights and even a headband LED light do the job for me.

I bought some Bushnell flashlights which I thought at the time was a good purchase and I have to say I am dissapointed in the quality. I recently tossed two of them in the trash because of them failing due poor construction in my opinion. Customer service basically said oh well since they were out of the one year warranty so Bushnell is on the never purchase again list.
So for now all I have is a trusty Maglite
I've heard good things about Coast products although I don't own any to comment on.

I think as long as batteries continue to leak like they have for about the last century, and as long as flashights rely on simple spring loaded electrical contact with the battery(ies), flashlights will always be consumable, disposable products. Some are better than others, but in my opinion they’re nearly all junk in the long run.

I always bring my Ryobi (insert your brand preference here) cordless power tools along with me and added their tire inflater, leaf blower and flashlight. Having one battery I can use for all these tool is really handy.

Maglight LED upgrade?
I do have the several Maglights, 2D, 3D, 6D and mini mags AA from way back. I had the LED upgrades on them but I was disappointed with their performance, that is why the Maglights are my "home" flashlights. The Streamlights are my camping lights. If you know of a good LED upgrade brand for the Mags please let us know.

I pretty much rely on these two.
Braun folding LED flashlight from Harbor Freight and an OVLED headband flashlight from Amazon.
I too have every size Maglite but rarely touch them anymore.

I get a lot of use out of the free blue oval jobs from Harbor Freight. A small light on the end and a big flood on the side. A magnet on the back for sticking on the trailer frame when I am underneath and a really versatile swivel hook for hanging under the hood.
DW, a former DA, was advised by the deputies to always carry a five-cell Maglite and still does, when though we are on the other side of the country. They took her to the range and qualified her with handguns too, but that's another story

I also bring a host of Ryobi tools and lights, along with a charger. One battery always in the light and one charged on standby for any other tool I may need. I do have a mag light I keep handy for a quick look when needed. It can be charged by a USB connection while driving or in the camper. Always ready.

The freebie flashlights from Harbor Freight. Usually “free with ANY purchase” at least once a month. I collect them and use them everywhere, great xmas stocking stuffers, can be used in flashlight and area light modes, has a foldable hook so I always hang a few around the trailer, even has a magnet to attach to steel (not as useful on a newer F150). For other hand flashlights, I bought a bunch of generic named CREE LED. Also a great stocking stuffer, but I carry one in my pocket every day. I use the flashlight almost as much as my pocketknife. I use a 1650 3vdc rechargeable to bump up the power but a normal single AA works fine in it.
I used to have a bunch of MagLights. Still have a few minimags, but most crapped out on me. From the little solitaires thru multi C & D cell ones, they eventually crap out. Worst is when your batteries swell, can’t get them out. Happened to my favorite one, a 5 C cell, perfect for gripping and in size for defensive use ;(
I will say that last time I flew under the TSA prisoner training rules, I had a mini-mag with lanyard that makes a heckava great flail weapon. Had to buy a lighter and pocket knife upon arrival

I also carry a Malice Green special in my truck. I actually started using it at star parties, focused in it worked as a pointer to show where my telescope was looking. That's Jupiter can you see the moons...
Also have several mini's and a led headband setup.
