What's in your truck bed?

Just recently switched from suburban to a pick up. Getting a tonneau cover but wondering what everyone keeps in the truck bed and how they keep things organized. Thinking about getting some bins for things like bike equipment, another one for wood, another for hitch stuff. How do you do it?

I use my pickup almost exclusively for towing the camper. I bought a cap for it, so I can leave a lot of the gear in it. (got tired of moving stuff out of the bed to the garage and vice versa before and after each trip!)

In the bed I have 2 bikes, an EZ Up, Two bins that I fill with firewood before each trip (Shhh ), a fold-up wagon, beach/sand chairs and folding chairs for around the campfire, Ladder golf game, along with a few miscellaneous pool toys (noodles, float etc). Also a box for all the towing gear, WDH bar, blocks of wood for the tongue jack, etc.

Rail mount tool box across front. Large plastic storage box filling space between tool box and hitch that's used for firewood. Small plastic box I use for assortment of boards for leveling and under stabilizers.

My truck bed tends to get all the dirty stuff (other than the sewer goods that travel under the trailer in a "fence post mod"). Typical for me would be firewood, kindling, Andersen Levelers, wheel chocks, sand toys for the young one, more often than not the fresh water hose, and sometimes the power cord (when wet). On the rare occasion we boondock, the generator and gas will be in the truck bed also. Like others I have a lockable cover (Retrax Pro roll back) and just leave everything loaded when not camping.

Oh...and don't forget the most important item...the trailer hitch....kinda hard to tow our 5th wheel without it!

Mine also gets the dirty stuff I don't want in the trailer. I put the patio mat in it and all the Lynx Levelers and the wheel chocks. Fishing cooler goes in the bed, too. Generator goes in if we are dry camping. Boat goes on rack on top.

I do keep the chairs in the TT bunks while underway cause I like to keep them clean.

have a topper on mine and a bed-slide (handiest thing since pockets in a shirt IMO).. load grills/griddles/propane in there. firewood when i can carry it around (maybe a bag of pinion wood blocks as well when I can).. tool box, floor jack & stands and a couple cross-bars for my roof-rack when i need to carry those longer items!! Gen case (pelican packed with 2 honda's).. and gas cans for boon-docking (or NASCAR camping).. and the BIG cooler for the longer trips. Having that cap ALMOST makes the pu like the suburban i used to pull with!

We're heading out west after Goshen and will have the generator, jerry can, lawn chairs, firewood, sat dish and some extra clothes.

I'm still kind of new to this but in my truck bed I keep the cooler that is almost exclusively for soda and beer, pop up, a bin with miscellaneous stuff, bikes, lantern, and anything else that gets forgotten at the last minute

It folds up like a boat Bimini when you need your truck as a truck. Allows me to carry bikes out of the weather, too. I had a tonneau on my first truck and this is mucho better.

A lot of firewood , tool boxes , spare for the trailer step stool ratchet straps, jacks , diesel addatives , Spare hitch shank, Grease gun, I`m sure I`m leaving something out.

An elevated tool box. A 5th Wheel. Small Weber Charcoal grill. Gallon of extra 15W40. A d-handle shovel and rake. A short handle broom. A 3-step folding step ladder. And misc 4x4, 2x12x12 blocks w/handles, wheel chocks. In the toolbox is a 2" and 2 5/16 ball inserts, various landing pads, DEF box, and 2 bunches of stackable orange levelers.

I have a blue hauler, a 4 kW Generator, 5th wheel hitch, 20 lb propane, gas can for Generator, 2 boxes firewood and standard hitch for hauling blue hauler, folding 15 ft ladder

Blocks of wood for stabilizing and leveling. Jacks, ladder, tunnion bars, ice chest if needed, dog (she has a favorite spot), dog bed, dog crate. We have a cap on ours and on top of that bars can be added to carry anything like a kayak. Our cap side windows open up. It makes it real handy for my husband to be able to reach in for something like jacks and not have to unload. Us short people are SOL on that part. I can a least open the side and check on the dog. Plus we have pass through windows to check on her. Highly recommend a cap over a flat cover. Easier to organize, haul tall stuff and keep everything protected from the elements.

Lol rust and a whole lotta dents. Previous owner was a landscaper and by the looks of it hauled large boulders while driving the Indy 500. Pulled the front of the bed away from the cab and installed a cheapo $100 bedliner. Problem solved.

I have a quality (heavy weight) tonneau cover and a 3/4 in thick rubber full cover mat. I use plastic crates to tool bag and and other stuff, also carry my gens and boards.

We have a hard trifold tonneau cover that flips all the way up to give us full use of the bed if desired without having to remove the cover. It is the bakflip g2 tonneau cover. We have the fiver hitch in the center. Typically keep wood in a bin in the front of the bed. We have truck bed bars to help hold things in place. I usually keep a bottle of def in the truck in case I need it. Not much else kept in there. When traveling, we can put the generator in there, and anything else we might need to.

50 gallon transfer tank/toolbox with way too many things to list. One gallon distilled water, a gallon of DEF, jack stands, wrenches, air compressor, folding shovel, 12vdc water pump, jumper cables, a quart of motor oil for my outboard and a 3 gallon boat tank, etc, etc.
I also carry the second spare tire and the 9.9hp outboard and a 10'X20' astroturf mat.
We haul an 11' 8" RIB in the bed when traveling if we will be anywhere near water [always near water or I'm not going].
Wish I could use a ton cover, but the diesel tank fuel neck is higher than the level of the bed. I would have to cut a large hole in the cover especially if it is one of the fold up kind.

i have a cap for my lab mix dog my wife would leave me home before our 3 dogs would be left home lol
