Which Haloview do you recommend?
I have a Rockwood with the Furrion kit preinstalled on my trailer. Which Haloview do people recommend? I've been all over Amazon, but there are tons of them available. Thanks

I have the MC 7101 with 3 cameras, the MC 7108 is a newer version with some improvements. Either one would be fine, I'm completely happy with mine.

Thanks, the 7108 looks good, then you just have to purchase the adapter for the furrion? Doesn't seem to come with it.
This seems to be the right one.

I just bought the 7108 based on recommendations here. But I find that the monitor is pretty big, IMHO. Not sure where I'm actually going to put it.
Since I bought it, I've seen that Haloview has a NEW "rear view mirror" sized monitor that straps to your rear view mirror. There are two models, the MC10 for $299.99 and the RD10 for about $369.99. The MC10 is good for only 33 ft, the RD10 is good for 80 ft. Both come with Furrion adapter plates.
I may have gone with one of these if I'd realized they existed.
You may wish to look at these. The down side is probably that there isn't a lot of experience with them yet

There is also a 7109 that is out. I kinda like the way the camera looks better than the 7108.
The 7109 also has a brighter monitor.

Sounds like I might need to get that extender too, which one did you purchase? I just purchased the 7108 off Amazon this morning.

My plan is to have the camera mounted above my clearance lights so the antenna extends above the roof line. I am hoping that will be enough to allow better range. My trailer is only 25' and the roof rafters are wood which will help me.
Since you have a Rockwood with metal roof rafters you will have more issues with range.

Got this one. I emailed Haloview asking what I needed. They sent me a coupon and I only paid 34 cents for it. 7108 works much better with it. Easy install.

Haloview Camera Youtube collection
Haloview Youtube Collection
Click the link and watch a few youtubes. I like the one's that Ray over at "Love Your RV" did the best. He has separate videos for just about every different model the offer. He ended up choosing the smaller 5" monitor because he like the smaller screen. I by the way, have the MC7109 with the Range Dominator and the 2 sidemarker lights. The Furrion bracket came with it. I made my own Rear View mirror mount but now Haloview sells a very nice one for $9.

I am actually wondering that myself and actually going through the decisions of going with a 5" display instead.

purchased 7108 for our 2068bs rockwood and got the adapter also, saved alot of rewiring, did alot of youtube before buying. that helped very much. tt is 30' f150 21' removed furion hard mount, left rubber gasket in place. there is no shuttering, freezing while driving. did not need the extender. bought a sandbag and suction cup to place on dash . the display is alittle large but it really isn't in the way. i am very pleased with the unit. no matter what we all use as an observation system it makes a world of difference. happy and safe camping

I just got a MC7108. Bought the Furrion adapter. I'm running it on my Flagstaff 26FKWS (26' box). I am NOT using an extender to extend range. On my trailer, I'm not having any issues with reception. Camera is mounted in the factory location, just below the center marker light. Antenna does not clear the roof.
After fiddling a bit with the monitor, I ended up attaching it to my rear view mirror with some women's hair bungees. They are holding it in place well. I have it mounted upside down - antenna on the bottom. Used the commands to flip the view and that is working well. Only the distance lines are a bit weird.
For recording, I stuck in an older micro SD card I had bouncing around. It turned out to be a speed class 1 chip and that was not good. I was getting regular black-outs where the display would go dead and then restart in under a second. This would repeat every 10-20 minutes. Later in the trip, it just went into a blackout/restart loop that happened every 3 seconds. Thinking about it, I put in a newer speed class 3 SD. Since then, the display is working flawlessly. No more blackouts. I think the issues were with the slower SD card. The monitor couldn't handle the time it took to save a video file and really couldn't handle deleting files to over write.
The SD I'm using is 128 MB, but I will probably pick up a new smaller one. I don't see a need to retain hours of what happened on the road behind me.
Overall, I think I would have preferred a 5" monitor in place of the 7". The display is a lot better than my old Furrion that suddenly would not bring up the image. Camera and monitor seem to be working, just no picture.

I finally got my Haloview hooked up. Worked great one time and now I have no signal at all. I've adjusted the antenna multiple times and nothing. I have the Rockwood 2509s. Not sure if it's a camera issue or need an extender. Bummer

I had that problem once, now I make sure to use the parking/running lights to turn camera on. I still have a slight headache from .
My TT is 28' from coupler to spare tire. The only issue I have is in a heavy business district the camera freezes momentarily now and then.

That's interesting because the first time I used it when it worked it was at night. But my running lights are on all the time on my truck. I'll try turning the lights on all together and see if that makes a difference. Thank you for that advice.

We tried turning the truck lights on, Camera still not working. But more concerning is the trailer lights have also stopped working.
I unplugged the Haloview, but still no trailer lights. Hmm. This is a problem.
Any ideas?
