1940LTD hard to install canvas support bars

As my wife and I are getting older it is becoming difficult to install the overhead bars that hold the canvas tent ends up in place. This is the white L shaped bar that hooks into the end frame and then into the bracket mounted on the ceiling. Any help to figure a way to reduce the pushing power would be great.

Moved thread from the Modifications and Updates section to the Tent Camper and Popup section since the OP's questions are specific only to popups.

In our last HW popup we had the same issue as you, causing it to be a bit harder to set up one of the ends with the L shaped poles.

So what I did was, after we were done camping, i kept out the pole I was to shorten, and used a marker and hack saw and cut off approx 1/2" of the bracket that attached to the inner bracket.

Next time out....what a world of difference setting it up. Canopy was still taught and poles were easier to install without all the added exertion. Worked great!

Life was good once again. Such a simple, well deserved, fix it was.
