2010 Flagstaff 206ST $4000 Good Deal?

We have been in the hunt for a pop-up camper (I have a 2013 Chrysler minivan; 3.6 V6) and would be apprehensive going with a 3000 pound hard side trailer.

This one is the leading candidate and I'm asking the community if it would be a good deal.

As indicated, it is the 2010 MAC series Forest River/Flagstaff model 206ST and seems to be in very good condition. Some features:
new tires – front mounted bike rack – electric operation of the pop-up – internal stove and external grill – cold air conditioner – cassette type porta potty – three mode refrigerator – rear electric winch (apparently to facilitate backing the unit into a tight parking space – I can almost visualize this but not sure I completely understand)

This pop-up is correctly sized for my vehicle and inexpensive enough that if we don't like camping – we did it around 25 or 30 years ago and enjoyed but unsure if we will still get into it – we can probably dispose without too much loss.

So what do you think? Would really appreciate some informed wisdom to this newbie couple.

$4k seems like a fair price for that trailer with those options. Bike racks always make me nervous because it tells me the user has been putting weight on the roof. PUPs are all about the roof. Once you have a roof problem, it's game over.

If everything checked out good, no leaks, canvas in good condition, all appliances work, and there is no frame damage ... I'd have no qualms about buying in that price range.

bike rack seems to be attached to trailer tongue

Haven't seen it up close yet. Deciding whether to make the trip (it's not local) but pretty sure the rack is clamped to the trailer frame/tongue forward of the popup body and roof and right behind the propane tank. I've seen racks like this that slide into a trailer hitch receiver and they're pretty solid.

Thanks for the value input. It does seem to be fairly priced from what my searching indicates.

We have a 2012 T&C same engine. Max tow is 3500 lbs with the right hitch.

HOWEVER... the tongue weight will seriously drop the tail so look in to a weight distributing hitch.

Consider that the trailer sticker that reports the weighst does NOT include a propane tank or battery on the tongue.

I like it

I had a Starcraft with Hot water shower and my 6 kids loved it for 9 years. We only have it up for a Lance camper so we could tow our boat. The one you describe with all those features would make me travel a log way to check out.

We have a 2013 Crusader 325RES Touring package 5th wheel now but still have the fondest memories of those years with our pop-up behind our Astro Van.

Definitely go check it out!

AHH! The Astro/Safari, best towing minivan ever built. Built on the S-10 truck frame and the powerful 4.3 v-6 Vortex engine.
Never been any minivan or CUV, that comes close to it.

That's an expensive price for such a small, stripped down pop up and such an old pop up. I'd keep looking.
