2014 206LTD rail pins

Newbe with a NTM camper. Setup instruction mention inserting pin in the rails after extending bunks. I have not seen any rail pins, previous user did not provide them. How do I find out what size to replace them with, are they standard pin size? How important are they? Not even sure where to insert them.

2014 Flagstaff 206LTD MAC

Any help would be appreciated.

Bob

There are pins on the inside face of the bunk ends on either side of the metal face plate. One on the street side, one on the curb side. They look like what I call barrel latches, where you rotate the handle up, slide it over into the retaining ring, and then rotate the handle back down. There is no "retaining ring" on these latches, the "barrel" on them goes past the end of the rail attached to the body of the camper. This is to help keep your bunk ends from sliding in or moving around. Sorry, no picture. I hope my description at least helps get you headed in the right direction. This is what is the setup on my 2018 popup.

I can see stability of the bunks, maybe, but with the supports rod on bunks deployed they are not being slid in. Did not want to popup PUP in the rain, will check to see as soon as the weather clears. Thank you!

I have a 2018 206LTD. No pins or clamps on it. Just looked at the setup DVD that comes with the unit. Those pins are not on our model unit. Those are on the Classic and High Wall models. They use a different type of bed support that would allow the ends to slip back inwards. Our unit has bed supports that hold the bed ends out.

Hope this helps.
