2016 flagstaff 625d roof side water damage?

I am considering buying a 2016 Flagstaff 625d. During inspection I saw the side of the roof isn't fully smooth. Is this normal? Also the lower front corner on drivers side can be pushed in a little. Is this evidence of water damage or just the seals just giving away?

I don't want to do any roof work so should I just walk away from this one?Click image for larger version

Yes, 100% walk away. That looks really bad & that piece is rotted & will have to be replaced.

None of that appears normal. Appears to be a lot of water intrusion. Might have to replace the whole roof.

If you don't want to do roof repair, walk away. Ripple and the fact you can push the siding in are indications of water intrusion degrading the underlying support.

Replacing the side boards yourself is around $450 proposition buying them from the forest river including shipping.

The question is, can you get a FANTASTIC deal with that damage worth you doing that work (assuming you want to) ?

The sideboards are particle board so they will ripple like that at the drop of the hat with some water infiltration. The rest is good, solid material not likely to get ruined by a little water infiltration.

I have done this repair and know what it takes. Mostly it happens because the sealant fails at the roofline along that corner metal strip or the rubberized end caps. Water gets under that and in to the edge of the particle board and poof....

Thanks everyone! I was able to look up underneath the roof and did confirm extensive water damage and walked away from the sale.

Thanks for letting us know. It's always nice to hear the outcome. Hope you find another camper with no damage.
