2018-206ltd hot rims

Why do my rims get hot when I’m towing and my tire psi is where it’s suppose to be

check your brakes they may be dragging and check your wheel bearings. Wheels get warm but they should not get real hot.

I would ask, what do you consider 'hot'?

And also, how and when are you checking them?

If you're checking them right after a stop, then you're going to read some residual braking heat from the stop. You have to remember that those brake shoes are big ole friction pads and even braking for a few seconds is going to heat the hub up and therefore heat the wheel up to a certain extent.
