2019 Rockwood Freedom Pop Up Quesitons

Hi all, Im new here. Its nice to meet everyone. As I mentioned, I have a 2019 Rockwood Freedom Pop UP Camper. I have the stock USB port's beside the table. Both ports are dead/couldn't charge any newer devices at all). I want to replace them with newer USB C/USB Fast Charge/Quick Charge.

How would I go about doing that, as I know nothing about wiring, volts, or Amperage. Can I just swap the ports out and get the faster charging speeds, or do I have to do a whole rewire of my pop up, which I have no idea what do to as I am not mechanically inclined like that ha ha.

I also have a question about the Door, Where would I go about purchasing additional black wing knobs that hold the door to the frame. One of them broke off and I need ot replace it. I fight with that door constantly lol. Also, is there a way I can get longer clips up top that will actually hold the door in place at the top?

Any help or advise would be great.

Thanks

Hi and Welcome to FRF.
Since there are probably 7 or 8 different Rockwood Freedom model numbers, posting what model number yours is, will help others help you.

2280 that's it. As far as the wing nuts you should be able to find them at any hardware store. I don't think they have to be plastic metal ones should work. Can't help with usb wiring. As far as the door top don't your plastic clips hold the door tight? Make sure your door frame is pushed in tight to the camper's frame at the top.

The door frame is weird. I can never get it right lol. It may clip in with the wing nuts, but even when it is even with the top of the frame. The clips done seem long enough to hold it in place

Are you making sure your camper is leveled adequately before raising the roof and installing the door? If it's not, you'll have issues with door installation. I finally bought a set of leveling blocks after realizing I had the same problem...gotta get level, fore to aft, side to side, before setting up.

Make sure your roof is raised as high as it needs to be in order to allow for the door to fit properly (don't go to the maximum roof height as it is probably too high for a secure door fitting)...minor adjustments to the roof height can be made when you are installing your door...just bump it up or down for a good fit.

Yes, you can easily replace those with the newer USB C. Many Youtube videos demonstrate how-to.

Here is link to those clips you are asking about on eBAYhttps://www.ebay.com/itm/20452157006...Bk9SR46r5KmqZA

Also, you may find it easier to latch the top of the door by reversing the top door chrome plate held with 2 screws, reversing it so the flat edge is against the roof edge. I did mine and it takes the additional stress off of the black turn clips.
