2280bhesp mattress size

Hi all! New here, so thanks in advance for being here and your help. I am about to buy a 2280BHESP; the only downside is that it has no mattresses.

I called Forest River, OEM says 59 x 76.5 and 69 x 76.5; they did not tell me the thickness is there an industry standard or do any of you know it or could you please measure? Also for the pair of OEM and heat controls it is around 1100 + shipping (which they couldn't quote). If anyone has had these shipped can you please ballpark shipping cost for me?

Any suggestions for replacement brands (if my wife green lights going w/o heated!)?

Thanks again, looking forward to being a part of the community.

oem 3.5" thick

Forest River let me know that if I order OEM they will be 3.5" thick and they don't recommend going any bigger. If any of you have experience to the contrary you are willing to share that would be great!
Thanks!

I put a 3 inch memory foam topper on my mattress, but after doing that the top would not close. Now I put a 1 inch memory foam and have no problems.

I also put a 3 inch topper on my standard heated mattress (just the king mattress) before I knew that it would impact the ability to close the camper. I kept the topper, but now I fold it in half and store on the dinette slide.

Do you put sheets and blankets on or use sleeping bags?

We ended up with this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B3JB447X...t_details&th=1

4 inch trifold, listed as a "topper" but the foam is great, it was nice and firm and fits the spot for the queen just right. left fitted sheet on, bedding goes under the dinette or in the wash. Camper closes no problem.
