Advice on adding Bike Rack to my pup

Does anyone have the SportRack SR1020 bike rack on the top of their Flagstaff or Rockwood pop up? I have seen one on one of the A-Frames in my search with some up close pictures and looks like it works ok for them, but the roofs on those are different than the tent pop ups. Those have more of a smooth flat roof and a different edge from what it looks like.

Does anyone have this one? I am not really crazy about drilling into the roof, but I also not crazy about the pro rac system by having to remove the front wheels each time, so this one seems to appeal to me more. Probably need to double check with Forest River to see if adding a system like this voids any warranties. Not sure about that.

SportRack Pop-Up Camper Roof Rack - Square Crossbars - Steel SportRack Ladder Racks SR1020

On a side note, I was using a dual receiver on with my last pop up with a Yakima carrier and that worked ok, but this new pop up sits higher so I had to get a new receiver with a 3/4 rise so now I can't use that dual receiver and with the dual LP tanks there, it just isn't going to work. We will have a need to carry 3-4 bikes at some point anyways.

Thanks for any input!

Oh yeah... Them holes will be all FR needs to say, "Sorry, you voided your roof warranty."

I like the Rhino roof rack a lot more. It requires a lot more holes, though.

I don't think you have to worry about warranty issues. Obviously if you drill holes and the holes leak, they won't warranty that, but otherwise you should be fine.

Here is a "no-drill" rack Home of the Sixnall, LLC pop-up camper bike rack

We had a bike rack that used a "sleeve" made from a piece square steel tube that wrapped around the draw bar that went into the receiver hitch - similar idea to the double receiver you mentioned. Bought it several years ago at CW and it worked well for 2-3 bikes between the back of our Explorer and the popup. Wish I had a picture.

Or you could go for a roof mount on the popup. You could always have your dealer install the mounts - they drill and seal holes all the time and should be able to do it without an issue and take the worry factor out of drilling the holes yourself.

Yeah, I called FR yesterday just to make sure, and they said, not, it doesn't void your warranty, unless of course the leak is traced back to the bike rack.

So, may end up just going with the Pro Rac on the front. I am used to removing the wheels for the way I have been doing anyways.

I am familiar with that "sleeve" rack you speak of. I have seen that one on etailer.com. Actually looked at it before we went wit the dual receiver on the last pup. Considered it this time, but we are at a two bike house now, but will be three soon with my son getting old enough, and then probably at least one more to add, so just trying to plan ahead so I can accommodate all of the bikes.

I did look at the Pro Rac system again and it does look like a pretty nice system. Just a bit pricey. I know a lot of people have made their own versions of that too. I am not opposed to having the dealer install the rack on the roof either letting them have the liability of the work, and I have a pretty decent Rockwood dealer. Guess their are pro and cons to both.

Thanks for the input. Will update when I have something figured out
