Any pop up toy haulers capable of supporting a Harley softail

I've been thinking of getting a pop up where I could take my 700 lb bike on trips with me. I have a Toyota Highlander that will tow 5000 lbs. with a max tongue weight of 500 lbs. I have been searching the used pop up market and have seen a couple of 3000 lb dry weight units with dual axles and a front deck that looks like it'll accomodate (2) four wheelers. I'm thinking loading a heavy bike might be kinda tough on one of these things, plus securing it might take some extra reinforcements. Also with the bike being up front it might cause me to exceed the tongue weight limits.

Has anyone hauled a larger bike and can provide some input? I am a long time Forest River owner, about 30 years for 2 campers, currently I have a 38 ft 2002 model that I am working on replacing the ceiling panels in the kitchen area, that is if I can find them reasonably priced, the supply stores are crazy high on these panels....

Any advice appreciated. Mike

The Rockwood ESP (Extreme Sports Package) 2280BHESP and 282TESP are both in range.

2280BHESP is 2,559lbs unloaded, with ccc of 1,279 and a hitch of 338lbs
282TESP is 3,377 lbs unloaded, with ccc of 1844 and a higt of 221lbs

Both starting to climb up against your highlander's numbers. But with your experience, you know about how weights are (and the weight police) so take everything with a grain of sand.

I'd backload the bike back on the bed right up next to the camperbox/as close to the axles as I could to get the weight distribution as tow-friendly as possible. Rear-loading the deck really reduces the weight of the cargo on the hitch, and so long as you're NOT BEHIND the axles, you should be fine on load-induced sway.

Just my opinion, though., Hope this helps.

I had a 2007 Flagstaff BR19TH pop up with a front deck that was a single axle unit. I hauled 2 bikes multiple times that totaled at least 800 pounds that I towed with a 1998 Chevy C1500 with no issues.
