Anyone ever cut a bigger access hole...

...In the top of the galley to have better access to the plumbing and electrical? The front panel access square is so tiny it's incredibly hard to work in and I need to figure out where a leak is coming from to fix it.

From what I can see the swing kitchen sits slightly above and not on the top and the weight would be distributed on the left and right as well as the wall next to the fridge so integrity shouldn't be compromised as long as it's not cut too big.

If this is a bad idea any tips on working in such a cramped space.

I have the same camper and you are right it's a pain to work on plumbing stuff in there. I have to get in there to winterize my water pump this week. not much room. I don't think cutting the round part in the top paneling would help much, and i wouldn't cut the slot part more cause that keeps your drain line on track. So i can't answer your question except to say they designed it that way for a reason, i guess. Be careful on how much you cut out of there.
