Anyone know where I can get this part for my dometic awning?

Thanks for looking at this, I hope someone has the answer. Dometic parts for bag awnings seem to be impossible to find.

I have a HW276 with a Trimline Bag Awning. One of the support legs is missing the end cap that is tethered to the pole shown in this image. Anyone know where I can get that?

Have you contacted the manufacture directly? Sometimes this is the best solution to an issue!

Im going to try today. They seem to be geared towards resellers rather than retail and they consider this awning "legacy" despite only being a couple of years old.

I find a parts diagram and what they point to on the diagram says "Stake loop" rather than "Cap"

Not sure if this will help with your search, but they appear to have different MM Pole Caps available. Might be worth checking into.

Awning part

I ordered a complete awning kit for my FR Rockwood Freedom from Dyer's RV Supplies. They had the best price but it took 2 month since it was made to order. The awning was drop shipped directly from Domestic. I will give you a cap if I still have one off my old awning if you pay the postage.

P.S. Make sure you slope your awning if you leave it up when away. We had no rain forecast so left awning up when we went hiking. Pop up shower hit the campground and destroyed our awning. Bent the frame and tore the fabric.

I will give you $40 for both and shipping if that is fair. Can you drill out the rivet holding the string on at the pole so I can reattach?

End cap

Send me a private message with your contact information. I will go out and check which parts I have left and let you know. I think I kept most of the frames for extra parts.

If you have no luck sourcing a cap here is another option.

I don’t know if this would work for you or not. But if you have or know someone with a 3d printer that cap could be easily made to pretty much any size.

Info on Dometic parts, apparently discontinuing many. I found seller on e-bay picking up used pieces and reselling. He also has a shop making parts that are not available. A little pricey, but if you need them, cheaper than replacing complete unit.

dart5560 is his selling name, use the e-mail between the arrows.

eBay - dart5560 <deplor_ivdl3298md@members.ebay.com>

I needed the end plugs for the Sunchaser ll

Hadn't done it yet. Going to have it out next week after Christmas for a trip so plan to remove the remaining one then and have it scanned and printed. May get a dozen printed if it turns out good. They have some high $$$ equipment so it should be spot on.

why not go buy a pvc/cpvc end cap at hardware store inside diameter of pvc is different than cpvc inside diameter. a little Dremel tool work or a drill and a bit with stone end for grinding. drill hold in end of cap and put in a cotter pin ,loop end out . 3/4 s lenght of pin should be fine, insert and spread ends. paint it
black.

I'm waiting on my 3D printer to arrive, when it does I may print a few out of polypropylene which should be flexible like the original. I can offer those up once I figure it all out.

Its coming from the Czech Republic so it will be a little while
