Awning pole replacement

I had an awning pole buckle on my 2014 Forest River Rockwood Freedom tent camper. It is a manual telescoping awning pole with the “ball” at the end that fits into the “socket” on the side of the camper. Pics attached.

this is a Dometic bag awning, right?? back when i had my popup, i had parts of the awning break and found that unfortunately, Dometic did not sell just replacement parts like this. they did sell replacement sides (you could buy the whole left side or right side). maybe they changed since then - so i would at least contact Dometic and ask.

Dometic still does not sell parts. They referred me to my local RV retailers. I think my only option would be to reuse the end pieces and find new aluminum tubing.

i would try that. i also managed a "fix" rather than having to buy the whole side.

I previously ordered repair tubing from Testrite Instrument Co., and was very satisfied with the results. They carry the dimensions I needed for the bent sections of my Dometic bag awning, and the tubing is specific for nesting. I ordered cut tubing to match the needed size, and all of the end pieces fit into the new tubing.

Thanks! The local RV dealer said they could get me a replacement pole made to order for $350! I will check out that website instead. Thanks for the advice!
