battery connect

Could someone share with me the correct procedure to remove a battery to bring in my garage and connect it to a trickle charger. Which cable should I disconnect first?

Then, which cable should I connect first when attaching it to a trickle charger in my garage?

Shockingly, the charger, by Battery Doctor, came with a useless users manual and I'm unsure of how to proceed.

Thanks

You should DISCONNECT the black/negative lead first.
Then the red lead.
When hooking up to your tender, hook up the red/positive lead first.
That is the safest way.

Disconnect negative from battery first on trailer , then positive. Hook up battery charger red lead to positive and black lead to negative of battery. When re-installing battery in trailer, hook up positive first and then negative.

I normally just plug mine in while still on the trailer. I switch the disconnect off first (a switch on this trailer, a fuse on the last one...just depends on the trailer). Granted, I'm only parked about 20 feet from the garage and my charger is designed for outdoor use, so an extension cord works for me. Procedure is the same regarding pos and neg order.
