cable to lift Flaggstaff Mac 228D is frayed

We just bought this 2008 pop-up and upon using the lift, my Husband noticed some fraying on the cable. Anyone else had this? How to repair? Thanks. Last pop-up we had was a large Apache hard side in the 70's.... Been camping in a TT but sold it. Retired now, so on a budget.... LOL Karen & George

We live in East Tn. so lots of state parks to try.

I have a 2004 228 D and just replace my cable about 6 months ago. it may look and seem a little intimidating but honestly is a very simple job. the system is called a Goshen lift system if you go to Goshen.com or call them you can order the parts for around 30 bucks.

It is VERY simple to replace. An hour, two if you work slowly.
