Canoe rack/roof rack

I have always traveled with a canoe tied down on the roof of my truck, but I am wondering if I would be able to carry it on top of my Flagstaff 425D pop up without the use of a canoe rack/roof rack. Thanks

It might be to much of a load on the roof, especially if you have an A/C up there. I carry canoes in my truck , I built a slide in rack for the bed and sit the canoe on it for travel,. I once carried three yaks on the PUP roof, but I got the roof rack, it attaches on the sides of the roof where the real strength is.

Generally these foam roofs are not strong enough to support a canoe. Most people try to mount a rail to the roof side panels to rest the canoe on. Placing it directly on the foam roof might not be the best idea.

This is what I put on our 2015 Rockwood 2716G. Sport rack from E Trailer. Works great and did not have to touch main part of roof so no issues with future leaks. I checked with dealer who put me in direct contact with Rockwood and they gave me info on what to use and what not to use.
