If it says CCA or Marine on it, it isn't a true deep cycle. However that may have nothing to do with your problem.
Mine is an SRM-24, and is detailed on this list:

Interstate Batteries | Deep-Cycle | RV Batteries | Pro ECL Series

Thanks.

As promised, this is my latest update on this project. After reading through the forums here and discussing with several local friends I decided getting an inexpensive generator was the best overall solution.

So I went to Harbor Freight and bought this with a 100 foot 12/3 drop cord:

https://www.harborfreight.com/900-pe...arb-63025.html

I tried it out in my backyard and it seems to start, run, and work perfectly. So far, so good.

Still considering my other longer term options, including changing the CO/LP combo detector out for an LP Only model AND, at the same time, swapping my Smoke Only detector on the ceiling for a Smoke/CO Detector. More on those later ...

Thank you all for your help & advice.

Be aware that you will most likely not be able to use that generator at a campground or if others are camping near you. It is very loud.

I urge you to contact the CO/LP detector manufacturer.
Unlike a fridge or pump, a detector is a safety device, and, in many cases, the Federal government requires items like this to last much longer than a typical warranty.

Since we know this is a relatively common problem, and since the specs claim the detector will work down to 7 volts, this low voltage beep is a false alarm. A depleted battery will still produce about 10 volts. I have a similar detector, and it's never given a low voltage warning even when NOTHING would work....and on the way to that point.

The generator will be handy. Home Depot detectors can substitute...including for LP. But I think this is a manufacturing defect that transcends a routine warranty. It's worth the phone call to the manufacturer. I think I posted a link to a manual earlier in the thread, and there was a phone number in the document.

Whatever you choose, happy camping.

I already commented about that generator, in the OP'S other thread.
It's rated for an ear-splitting 91 decibels! 😨
