Crack between door and camper

Am I doing something wrong? Thereís a crack between the door and camper letting gnats inside camper. Anything I can try to get the door to line up properly?

Warped door, or too much pressure on one or more of your stabilizer jacks ?? Try taking pressure off jacks one at a time and see if the door gap changes.

If itís one of those it has to be warped door bc thereís really no pressure on the stabilizer jacks.

Hi there, When lowering the stabilizer jacks once they touch ground, go ONE more turn. It is easy to rack the trailer and put the door out of alignment.

use a straight edge to check the door and the sidewall of the trailer that will tell you which is out of whack.

One more thing, do not operate the tongue jack or BAL Leveler (if youíre using one for side to side leveling) if the stabilizers are already downóyou can tweak the frame or damage a stabilizer if you do. Respectfully, OttieJB

This site is very level, no levelers, boards to drive on or anything.

Did you verify that with a level placed on the trailer to check side to side and front to back? It doesnít take much to create a condition where something doesnít quite line up with these pop ups. Respectfully, OttieJB.

Could you post a good picture of the whole door as it sits from the outside and another picture of the whole door from the inside (might be tough to do) with more light on the subject?

Not familiar with P/U RVs, but since it looks to be new... I would want it checked ASAP. This can rot the doorway floor out pronto.

Jason, when set up are you fastening the lower door to the body with latches? It appears the door is tight at bottom and opens up away from body as you look from floor up. Is the door vertical or leaning away from trailer at top?

Yes it it latched at the bottom with 4 latches. As far as the gap, itís fine until you open the door then it shifts

Shot in the darkóDid you try taking all the pressure off all the stabilizers at once temporarily to see if it causes a change? Iím reaching now because if itís not a pressure/leveling or warped door problem it may require a trip to the dealer to diagnose and fix (hopefully not).

Yes Iíve taken the weight off the stabilizer jacks. Weíre camping 20 minutes from the dealer so I may go up there. I could put some weather stripping to fill the gap but Iíd like for it to be right weather itís something Iím doing or if itís the camper itself. This is our first trip with the camper so I want to nip it in the butt now rather than waiting.
