Door travel bracket

Hi, just purchased a 2020 Flagstaff M-27KSHW. Among several issues I am having a problem with the door travel bracket. This is the white angle iron looking thing that the bottom of the door rests on while traveling. Mine has come loose at least 3 times.(I can tell from the various holes) The 4 screws that mount it are very short and do not work very well. Any suggestions. I am using a bungee cord right now. Thanks.

Hello

are you able to share a pic of the bracket you are referring to?

Also, before you look at a fix, I would suggest you closely examine the wood part that it screws into, as it could be that there is water damage and rot, hence the screws coming out. If you have water damage/rot you would need to fix that, before you deal with this problem. I have seen floor rot in these rigs that came from a small leak in the roof.

If you are sure you don't have a bigger problem, then it sounds like you need beefier screws and a few more than the factory installed!

Keep us updated here and good luck
