Door won’t shut

I own 2018 Forrest 176 Ltd ( just bought)
On maiden voyage we could keep door latched. I releveled and still no luck. Resorted to bungee cords. Thoughts ideas. Thanks

We were having similar problems, we found out our trailer frame is bent.

We've noticed that if we're not level we have similar issues. since you've releveled, I'd be interested putting the level on your support posts going up to see if you notice anything there. That's a big part of that door frame.

Do you notice gaps around the edge of the door on one side or the other, top or bottom?

Door catch not adjustable ? Even my 1987 Jayco 1206 had an adjustable door catch.

Something isn't squared up then. Wonder if you square it up if things latch etc. Probably. Question it why or better yet how to fix it.

Notice any canvas not quite filling right or lose? I believe ours feels like the top could lean or push one way or another without everything velcro'd up. As we set it up things tighten.

The absolute #1 thing I HATE about my 2516g is how the door fits...... i fight with it every time and the fitment still sucks. my old 82' coleman was picture perfect every single time

No great cure yet. I’m playing with canvas tightness and Velcro placement during dot placement

I really wish Forrest River could jump in and provide a fix or tweak, that all of us could use to alleviate this wide spread problem.
I added a extended latch plate and added a silicone edge to close the gap. Works, but all that should not be necessary if we had a method to fix, come on Forrest River.

Having owned two Popups, over a number of years, here's what I found with similar issues.
Popups have thin frames and one has to be careful when extending the stabilizer jacks. It doesn't take much to tweak the frame enough to cause door issues.

I don't know if this will help... But I put a thick but small stainless steel washer between the latch plate and the frame. Also had to buy a slightly longer ss screw because of the thickness. This moved the latch plate a little closer to the dog on the door lock. It might be worth a try.
