Dunno what this is????

Hello have owned my 2007 rockwood for a few months now and cannot figure out what this black circle is for, it goes all the way through. So far I’ve found nothing in the owner manual. And we are newbies.

Is there one on the other side?

Take out the three screws and check out what is behind it and then let us know

There isn’t one on the other side. This is a picture from the inside, under the “couch” cushion box. The wire is for the side marker lamp.
Appears to have an old hornets nest.

Based on your photos, it could’ve been a personal modification done by whoever the previous owner was for whatever reason they had.

How’s that?

Done by owner to allow his wasp friends, a place to build their home.

Honestly looks like an antenna mount. Maybe for Stereo, Ham, or CB. Previous owner took his antenna but left you a beautiful hole to catch water, rodents, and insects. Say thank you!

Looks a bit like this antenna.

I have a very similar black mount on my factory antenna.

Might be a place to add a jack to plug solar panels into.

It looks too low on the trailer to be an antenna of any kind, IMO, but it definitely is some kind of owner modification. What it was is anybody's guess.

Why? That's exactly at the same height mine is at, so that it accessible through my sofa.

I believe you hit the nail on the head. Mine is on a 2007 rockwood premier.
So is your antenna just to coax, or is there an inline reception booster?
And is it for the radio?

I haven't looked to be honest but I believe it's just coax to the stereo. I wouldn't think there would be a booster especially without a switch for it.

Here's the 2007 Rockwood brochure

They have the antenna but it's usually mounted under the rear marker light.

Pulled the wasp nest out, fought a couple of them, and taped the hole for now. Found the antenna online for sale. MYSTERY SOLVED GANG.
I really cannot thank you all enough.

Glad it all worked out! Now once you get that antenna, maybe you'll get better reception on your stereo.
