Not sure about your definition of "hot bulbs are good"??

Anyway... most pop-ups have a switch that cuts off the power to the ceiling lights when the roof is lowered so if one or more lights are left on, they won't catch the trailer on fire when closed.

There have been lots of reports of this switch failing. Some are mounted on the flip galley (if equipped) some are near the roof closure line.

I'm going to X2 the above again!

The first thing I'd do is find and test the 'stored' switch.

My two Popups had a plunger kill switch that had to be compressed by flipping the sink cabinet up to compress it.
