Everchill fridge not chilly

Hey all. Hope the world’s treating you well.

Got a 2022 Forest River popup camper (206ltd) with an Everchill BC-47-04H fridge that I can’t seem to get to cool down. It worked without missing a beat last camping season but this year during our first time out, no cold (comparing it to last season and not the fridge inside the house).

Any suggestions to trouble-shoot? I checked all the fuses in the main camper fuse box as I wasn’t sure which one was related to the fridge but all seemed fine. I haven’t pulled the fridge out to look at it.

Any constructive guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Quick update. I went ahead and pulled the fridge out just to see if there were any problems that were hiding.

I found the 20amp fuse in the back and it looks great. Also no chewed or loose wires. Confirmed there is no propane line running to this fridge, all electric.

Just to clarify, your fridge is a 12v DC only fridge, not a 110v AC fridge.

Confirmed 12V-DC (based on the sticker inside the fridge).

First need to test the fuse and check for voltage. Sometimes fuses look ok and are not.

Dumb question: Is there an adjustment knob (cooler/warmer) that turns the fridge off if turned all the way to one extreme? Maybe set the knob in the middle for a while and see what happens.

Good morning all.

I wasn't able to trouble-shoot further during the week as my home lacks a plug that accommodates the 30 amp plug on the camper. Fortunately I went camping over the weekend and got to dive into this further.

About an hour after setting everything up, we noticed the fridge in the camper was actually getting colder! It continued to get and stay cold throughout the camping trip leading me to believe we either weren't being patient enough during the previous trip or taking the fuse out (located behind the fridge) and putting it back in during the trouble-shooting at home did the trick.

Either way, I have a new fuse that will be installed on the next trip as @Leeshearer pointed out the fuse may look ok but actually is flaky.

Thanks everyone for your time and suggestions! All contributed to having a great camping trip over the weekend.

I have my trailer connected to a 20amp outlet in the garage using a contractor grade extension cord (12gauge)

PLUS a adapter that connects the extension to the 30amp inlet
