Flagstaff 228???

I recently purchased a popup from a dealer about 70 mile away ( it was a great deal and my friend told me trailer is solid(he lives nearby)) anyway looking at photos of it and I'm confused. This popup says it's a 228 it has the shower toilet combo directly across from the entry door no gaucho but a cabinet and a moveable cooktop has anyone ever seen a 228 like this??? I'm wondering if this has been refurbished?? It's a 2002 model and in very good shape it is not high sided and has a ref, sink, toilet/shower and heater ,no ac!! Any help would be appreciated!

Why don't you believe it's a 228?
If you're comparing it with newer 228s, a lot of changes could've been made to that model, over a 15 year period.

my 228

Not questioning if it is or isn't just haven't see one with this floor plan before and cannot find anyone who owns one like it either (or no one has come forward) like I stated I'm wondering if it's possible the previous owner may have changed the floorplan?

A quick Google search brought lots of pics, including a 2002 Flagstaff 228 for sale at Arlington RV, in Rhode Island.

I guess I'm not being clear enough I have seen plenty of photo's and floor plans on google and others but when I look at the photo I have of our 228 the items are helter skelter from the floor plans I've seen. Most have a gaucho bed left of the doorway and to the rt of the dooway either cabinet or toilet/shower, directly across is usually the galley and to the left of that the dinette.
Ours is set up as this ,the galley sink and refridge is to the right of the doorway , the shower/toilet is across from doorway, to the left of doorway is dinette and to the rt of toilet/shower is long cabinet (no gaucho). I haven't seen this floorplan on any site I've been on.

OK, then your suspicion could be right that a previous owner could have changed things.
If it doesn't resemble the 2002 228 that Arlington RV has for sale, then a previous owner changed things or it's a different model and they put a 228 sticker on it.

You might call Flagstaff with the VIN and see what they say.

I guess it's possible that the previous owner changed the layout for some unknown reason just strange, usually when you buy something their cookie cutter mine and your are pretty much the same, this isn't oh well my dealer is on vacation until next week so I'll try to get it clarified then I guess .

Measure your box. The 228 should have an 11-12ft box and the 205 should have a 9-10 ft box.

If you have the 205, the dealer mis-represented it.

I think JPBar is right. If you go to the link in his post (Post #8), then click on Floor plans, you'll see all the Flagstaff floor plans; then you'll see what the 228 is SUPPOSED to look like. There's supposed to be a gaucho/bed where your dinette is.

You'll also see that the 205 is supposed to have a 9 ft awning and the 228 has an 11 ft awning. That's why I suggested measuring your box to see which one you really have.

228

there is no gaucho only a cabinet ,a dinette, refer, sink , portable 2 burner stove (inside or outside),show/toilet,hot water heater, furnace and the depicted photos tell where they are!! the 205 is close but this is a larger unit hence(shower/toilet) and long cabinet. I'm just totally confused at this point I guess I will just have to wait a few more weeks til I can see it with my own eyes up close in their warehouse! I called today and they said it is a 228 so there you are a conundrum wrapped in an anomaly check photos again I added the floor plan it may help!!! the small cabinet to the top right near toilet not depicted!!

Sorry about all your frustrations on this. Look at this owners manual, 3rd from last page shows your camper. Yes this is a 2001 manual, but not sure when you camper was made. I believe after May they become the next years model. The model 205 is what is depicted in you photo link. I am sure you will get this all figured out, we are just trying to help you.

did a bit of research and have determined that the popup we bought is a 205 and not a 228 we took the serial vin number and sent it to Forrest river and they told us that it was a 2002 1/2 flagstaff 205 popup .The difference in the 02 and 02 1/2 was that they moved the sink near the door rather than next to stove on long cabinet next to the toilet/shower cabinet.

Sounds like JPBar was correct that it's a 205, not a 228. And if so, it's a smaller popup than was represented by the dealer. Maybe you can get some $$ back from them. (I won't hold my breath!)

Got a deal, the dealer installed led lighting in popup for me and also led outside lighting, also put in a new anode in water heater as well a threw in a case of dometic toilet treatment so I guess that counts as money back, Not to worry the Mrs. and I are the only ones who will use the popup so space isn't an issue. Now I have to address a small issue with the larger bunk the tenting has a bunch of tiny ( and I mean tiny holes) in it , the previous owner got the camper too close to a campfire and embers made about 10 or so pencil lead sized holes not really sure how I'm going to repair them I think they are too small for patches, and they aren't all in one spot so I was thinking of using Parbond over them inside and out. Any suggestions??

patches

Yes I've looked at it but to patch these small holes I'd need to cut them at least 1 inch in diameter per their instructions and the hole like i said are about the size of the o on your keyboard or smaller.
