Flip up counter replacement

Hello,

I have a 2017 Rockwood Freedom 2318G and need help finding the a replacement for the countertop that is over the toilet / shower that flips up. My son sat on it and cracked it. I have had no luck finding anything online. Any help is greatly appreciated. I have attached pictures as well.

First, I doubt you will find anything on-line. That is ordinary countertop laminate over particle board. The same stuff and methods are used for kitchen countertops. Go to your local big box store, kitchen cabinet department, with a sample of the broken piece and dimensions and have them order the required replacement from their countertop supplier or fabricator.

Or go to a local countertop fabricator and have them make one for you. It is just laminate and particle board.

Kitchen design places are a good resource for laminate. They often have remnants from job and will sell it to you for next to nothing. They would also have sample swatches just like paint chips or apolstery swatches but may have minimum order requirements.

Look at a couple YouTube vids on how to install laminate and go for it. If you are hand at all you can do it yourself

I could be wrong but I don’t think the big box stores are going to have any motivation to help and will play dumb just to get rid of you. It’s probably break time after all. lol

I worked for LOWE's as a Kitchen designer and Sales specialist for some 15 years. I would love to have this small countertop job. I would make a drawing, send it to the fabricator for a quote, and have the customer come in and pay. A few days later the countertop would arrive and a few days later, the $$$ commission would be in my paycheck. Say HUH...they aren't interested?

That is a big problem with folks today. They aren't interested in customer service. However, I bet the next time the customer needs something, it could likely be for a $30K to $50K+ kitchen remodel job. and they remember I took care of him the first time and they will take care of me the next time. All one has to do is wait on them, be nice to them, and get them what they need. $$$$$

Thank you everyone! I was looking for a quick fix. I am mechanically inclined, so I will be going the route of MDF and then looking for the closest match for laminate. I have redone counter tops before. The idea of going to a kitchen design place to see if they have any left overs is a great idea, I will try that. I have found many great ideas from this forum, thank you again!!
