Foam still coming out of faucet
I have a 2017 2280BHESP and I've filled the tank a couple times and foam is still coming out of the faucet. How many fill ups does it take to remove all the factory winterization in the tank?

If you Sanitized the FW tank and drained it there should be Very little water in the tank, put water in tank, put element in filter, hook up to City water.run City water through ALL Water systems, then turn OFF city water and run Pump through A outlet! Should run Clear now! Youroo!!

Drain the low points, I had a problem with antifreeze, it would pull out of the drain line. Never happened again after I learned that.

Did you drain fw tank before filling. If not, drain it. Then start fresh, also drain water heater.
After winterizing in spring, I flush my lines with fresh water and a little bit of bleach before putting water heater in loop. Bypass heater before ever winterizing and the antifreeze will never be in there.

Thank you. The only thing I didn't do was sanitize it or add the filter. Otherwise I did everything else. By sanitizing is there a recommended solution to use(ie bleach)

I dont believe I did empty it before filling it up. Only thing I did was open up the bypass valve(which I wish they had done it differently with either Velcro holding the door in place instead of screws) and filled it up. Now to drain the hw heater is remove the plug by the ingnitor correct?

GC !! drain fresh tank and refill. Hook hose to city water and run for 5 minutes..Hot/Cold open. Tank clean, lines clean, HWH flushed. Depending on flow rate 5 minutes puts around 12 gals thru my HWH, the equivalent of flushing twice.

The manufacture recommends 1 oz. per. 10 gal. Of water. If you have a 30 gal. Tank would be 3 ozs. of 5% bleach. I do this every spring when getting camper ready for the camping season. And you are supposed to drain tank after each camping trip. I just read this today in my manuels .

I think you are referring to fresh water tank. There is really no winterization needed for the FW tank. Just drain it. If you believe the dealer put antifreeze in the FW tank, It will take a while to get it out, You will just have to fill. and drain FW drain until it is all out. You never want to put antifreeze in the FW tank.

I was also wondering why the OP put AF into the FW tank.
Not necessary and gives the tank an odd taste.

Hot water heater
When you sanitize the water heater along with the system be sure to drain and flush it as well. I forgot that step a year ago or so and came out of the shower smelling like I'd been in over-chlorinated swimming pool. Good thing my hair is almost all grey, I could only imagine if Mama-san had gotten that water instead of me...
Lesson learned.
Hope this helps.

Remember that bleach does not kill 100% on contact. Pour it in and take a drive around the block to swish it around. Three minutes is minimum. Five minutes kills it all.
Raise the side opposite of the water heater a bit when you pull the anode do make sure the tank drains. I put a flexible tank wand deep in there to flush it. Lots of calcium and crud pours out.
