Freedom 1950 Dometic Awning

Hello!


So, the Rockwood Freedom user manual and DVD setup guide leaves a lot to be desired for our 2019 model since we've already discovered several nuances... we've overcome most of the quirks with a couple exceptions, but here is the latest... the old manual suggests there are 4 total sockets (2 upper / 2 lower) for the awning attachment points... seemingly the 2 lower optionally can go to the ground. BUT, our camper is missing the UPPER LEFT socket... so, it seems to leave the upper left pole completely unusable? Could this have been left off? What am I missing?

I finally found the awning manual in the pile of 30 or so that came with the camper... looks like there should be a 4th socket. I'll reach out to the dealer.

yes, you are missing a socket. at least you got the awning up right, we had to look at another camper to figure it out as we did not see the upper sockets at all -
