Has anyone taken out the microwave?

I just took delivery of my t12bh last week. I am hoping to optimize the storage in the camper and realized that the microwave takes up a lot of room. Has anyone built a storage system in the microwave cabinet? I was also thinking about installing a drawer under the dinette bench on the door side.

The DW wanted more storage area, so I am in the process of building a frame to mount two of these on.

She wants to use roman blinds to cover the hole. If it is done correctly we can remove the blinds and the drawer unit and re-install the microwave for resale or trade in.

removing microwave

Hey, I am thinking the same. The micro could easily be replaced by a drawer with a lid that slides over it, so it can be used as an extra prep area, and I'm doing a slide under the sink.
We have a A128S.
Happy trails!

We also store the bread there, plus the paper plates, but I think I will do the drawer which can also be easily removed later for resale.
We never used the micro before while camping, so I dont know why start now. It is just like a tv. We never had one while camping before and had a great time.

We store some dry foods in ours as its a mouse proof container.
We've used it a few times for random things, Mac and cheese for a nephew, that sort of thing.

My DW loves microwave popcorn, so the microwave stays. When not in use, we store bread etc.

Microwave, what microwave?

We use ours for storing the potholders and dish towels. I enjoy microwave popcorn, so it is not going anywhere.
Using for bread storage sounds good, will have do that on our next trip in a couple of weeks.
