Hearing strange beeping noise

I'm hearing this strange beeping noise which appears to be coming from my roof top AC unit. I have a Rockwood Premier M2302 pop-up camper. Someone suggested to me that it could possibly be a low battery signal from a smoke detector in my camper, but I don't think that is the case. The beeping sound is louder when I am outside vs. being inside the camper. Also, there is no power to the camper at the moment. The battery is not hooked up and it's not plugged in at all. It's driving me nuts, and I'd really like to know what it is. Has anyone ever come across this issue or am I imaging things?

If there is no battery connected to the PUP and it is not plugged into shore power, the only thing left that has power if the smoke detector. Just to try it, remove the battery from the smoke detector and see what happens.

I think tomorrow I'm going to set it up and I will look. It's funny that the sound it louder on the outside than it is on the inside. Thank you for your help.

I am not aware of any thing that would cause a beeping noise on the AC units. I would put money it is your smoke detector if you didn't take the batteries out last season. I have forgotten to do that in the past and if it sits all winter after not having the been used and the camper battery removed, the smoke detector battery's will beep. And they can be loud from the outside.

Also check your CO and propane leak sensors. They also usually battery powered and need to be replaced periodically.

Bingo! It was the carbon monoxide detector. It was weird that I could hear it so loud outside. Thank you for all your help.
