Heater & Carbon Detector

Hey guys! I’m writing to you from Humbolt Redwoods Stare Park in Ca....

I ran the heater on my 2018 2280 ESP. (Second time it’s ever been on) and had the smoke / carbon monoxide dector (the one in the roof) come on 2 times!? After the first time I opened the windows turned off the heater. Once clear I fired up the heater again and the dector went off again...

Any thoughts on how to spot chechcthe heater. It’s not cold here really but I’m interested to see what’s going on :-)

Are you sure it's a CO detector in the roof? It's more likely a smoke detector (although it may also include a CO detector).

If you haven't run your furnace before (because it's new), it needs to run for 20-30 minutes to burn off the oil film from manufacturing. That can set off the smoke detector

Open the windows and let it run for 20-30 minutes, then see how it goes.

Sounds good guys! I’ll let it run for a while with a window open in the morning :-)
