Where do I hook this to the sewer ? what adapter and hose do I need? all of our trailers had holding tanks this pop up I d not know how to hook it up to the sewer.

It sounds like the pup doesn't have a tank, so you'll have to add one of your own. I think the easiest would be to get one of those totes with a side discharge, like this one:

Then hook the side up to the sewer, and plumb the hoses from the sink, etc... into the tote.

Older and smaller PUPs (many larger and newer ones have gray water tanks) just have an external through wall connection where the sink discharges to. In my simple world, I have a hose adapter and elbow and hose that screws on to this external connection. I simply feed the sink water through the hose into a 5 gallon bucket located beside/under the camper. Others use a closed portable tank as Kaadk shows.

The shower would have to have a similar arrangement - shower is gray water.

2011 specs for a Flagstaff 246D do not show a gray water tank, but do show a 12 gal black water tank. Does that tank still exist? Doesn't make much sense since specs show a Porta-Potti, not a toilet. You have no black water source, just gray water. So if the tank is still there, I would re-plumb sink and shower to the black/gray water tank.

Yeah. I would doubt they put a black tank in it. The porta potti is a separate type system. Lots of people simply drain into a 5 or 6 gallons aquatainer types of containers.

I bought three of these.

Ozark Trail Desert Patrol 6-Gal Water Jug: Outdoor Sports : Walmart.com

They work well. seal up for transport to the dump station and give me 18 gallon capacity which last pretty long.

I'm new to this and someone told me to take a hose designated as grey water and hook them up to the Popup RV (sink and shower) and bring the other end to the sewer drainage hole at the site. Is that not a good idea and these portable tanks are a better idea?

That is the easiest solution as long as you are camping at a place with a sewer connection. The totes and jugs solutions are for more primitive campgrounds that do not have a sewer connection at each campsite.

Exactly. We mention these jugs and things because many of us pop up owners tend to frequent W/E sites. As was said above, if you have a sewer site, then just run hoses into it and your done.
