How to turn on my furnance

Good morning everyone. My family and I are camping this weekend and it's a little chilly (about 35). We are wanting to try out the furnace to take the chill out of the air, but I cannot figure out how to get it turned on.

I have a 1995 Rockwood XL Popup with a Suburban DD17DSI furnace. I looked at manuel for the furnace and see there should be an on-off switch, but I cannot find it.

Does anyone know where the switch is?

Thanks for the help.

Is it not on the thermostat?

There is one on the thermostat. I turned that on one and it still did not fire up. The manuel shows one near the gas valve, but I cannot find that one. Is the one on the thermostat wired in instead of the one on the furnance its self?

Not sure never had one with a possible switch on gas valve.
I under stand its older I used to have an 86 all I did was turn switch to furnace and turn to auto.

Can you hear the blower running?

on my popups, the on/off switch was on the bottom of the thermostat. never heard of a second switch.

you have to make sure you have the air purged out of the propane lines.
run your stove burners first, before firing up the furnace.
you also have to have a battery that's charged, to ignite the furnace. if the battery's weak, it may not light.

Cannot even find thermostat

We have a 2004 Mac205 popup w/o A/C and I can't seem to even find the thermostat to turn my furnace on. Bought brand new deep cycle battery today to help ignite it when I do find the darn thing though any help please?

who makes the Mac205? never heard of it but i suggest you start visiting PUX, Popup Explorer. it's the busiest popup website with owners of all brands of popups.
this website is mainly for FR owners and not a lot of FR popup owners here.
the thermostats on our Starcraft and Viking popups, were under the dinette table, against the outside of the benches.

sorry, didn't know the Mac is a Flagstaff popup.

the furnaces in our popups were under one of the dinette benches. i would see if you could follow the wires from yours to where the thermostat is.
once you find it, there should be a switch on the bottom to turn it on/off and also a sliding switch to set the temp.

Good point

Never dawned on me to trace the wires. That will likely be the only way to find it since I have yet to do so any other way

Will be installing new battery tonight and will trace the wires and hopefully find the elusive thermostat. I know people are likely thinking to themselves " it's a popup, how many hiding places are there???"

Hooray!!! I found it and the darn thing started blowing hot air just seconds after turning it on. Located on the Mac205 below the sink and next to a GFCI 120v outlet. Thanks for the help bikendan!
