HW29SC Ventilation Fan

Who has a HW29SC and does operating your ventilation fan require your interior lights (switch) to be on? In my opinion, this is silly because I can't imagine owners not wanting to run the fan at night without the lights being on.

Yes the main switch needs to be on. You can shut off the lights at each fixture I believe by pressing the center button on each fixture(newer led lights). Still kind of a pain but at least you can run the fan without the lights if you choose too.

yep - that is what we did in our previous HW277 - turn on the main light switch and then turn on and off each light individually. Switch was on the bases of the lights.

We just got a 2020 HW29SC - where the ceiling lites do not have separate switches. It is really ridiculous that you cannot operate the fan lites without the main lites on ?

Most newer units have press to turn on/off switches for these LED lights. Simply press the center of the light. Mike, post a pic of the lights you are talking about.

Oh yes, this is one of my biggest pet peeves on my pop up!! It's darn right annoying! I feel like I'm forever climbing around on counters, turning lights off, turning fans on, then turning lights on, fan off....

I really wish some person would come up with a mod, where you can isolate the fan and have it's own on/off switch.

somebody.... please!
