Is my awning backwards?
A while back I bought a screen house for my dometic awning that has zippers on it. My bag is black with no lettering on it, while I was out last time I found the words dometic in white facing the roof... Is it backwards? Now I've seen pics with the words facing out. I want to make sure it's on there correctly before I go and install the screen house.

Is the colored side up and the white side down when it's opened up? If the awning is oriented correctly someone at the factory put it in the bag wrong.

I'm trying to remember..I'll have to go and open the bag. I know that the zipper on the sides are facing up and you can't see them when the awning is open. Also one thing that made me think is the flap at the end of the awning is on the inside of the support that the side supports fold into, ive always seen awning with that flap on the outside to cover the support from view.

I think it was installed backwards. The flap should be outside covering the support that the side supports fold into.

Also, if the awning is hemmed along the edges the seam should be facing down not up.

Yeah I do see that. This is the only pic I have if the awning open. You can see the flap at the end goes to the inside of mine.

Hard to really see with that pic, small pic and from a distance. If the support bracket and legs cause the "top" to wrap around and over the bracket then it's upside down. What I mean is if you unroll the awning all the way with the legs still inside the bracket and that bracket is on the top size of the awning then it's upside down. If it's on the bottom when unrolled then it's not upside down.
Relatively easy fix if it is upside down.
