Yep, Pets! You gotta lov'em.

Looks to be salvageable ( maybe ), depending of course how bent the existing awning arms are and if they can be re-shaped.

Purchase a metal coupler and try attaching the 2 ends together using self tappers. Worth a go.

"Dash" seems to fit him well.

Oh yes the name fits him well, he's a rescue my wife and I got him in 2012 and love him.
He was brought up to Ma from North Carolina he was found roaming the streets.
We got him from a place called save a lab. He's a love though.
It was an accident.

Cowboy6201 well if it helps, the domestic bag awning is junk even brand new!! All kidding aside you might be able to order just the lower pole if that's the only bent one. Or you might make a pole out of conduit and metal brackets. My pole bent at the top where the leg riots to the rail on my first trip. I didn't have it tied down. Btw make sure you put the legs in the ground position and tie it down!! Gust of wind can flip them damaging the roof. Oh and alway slant the awning so if it rains.

I called my dealer about replacing mine and I was told because it's a 13ft I have to replace the whole side which cost 300 or so. A completely new awning from Carefree of Colorado is like 500.

Cowboy, looking at your pole again I see you have a "black cap" on the bottom of your pole with a flap. Do you know, or have you tried, taking that cap off and see if there is a "ball" inside that cap. Looks like it may very well be, by just guessing. If so......

If you can modify your pole to make it work, you may want to invest in these "ball end mount brackets" for your popup. We installed these on our 2nd pup and they worked great.

here is the link showing a pair;

A E Dometic 3309924003 Awning Ball End Base Kit with Screws | eBay

Never had a problem with either of our bag awnings. Wall Mounted or ground free-standing. Both worked great! And anchored, of course.

have never had a problem with any of the bag awning on PUPs that I have owned. You can probably order a pole that will work from Camping Gear & Outdoor Gear - Outerwear & Outdoor Clothing from Campmor.com, one use for tarps, they are both adjustable and tough. I have used one for well over 10 years to hold a 20' tarp and it has served me well.

Briorick your right I took off the cap and low and behold there was a ball.
I'm probably gonna have my next door neighbor call Dometic for a replacement lower part of the arm. She's a forest river repair center, she own's Camping USA (Camping USA) E Bridgewater Ma. I get neighbor discount.Camping USA
