Leaking under fridge

Hi all, had issues this weekend while camping in GA with water coming out under right corner of fridge the entire trip. I kept mopping it up and more kept coming the entire 4 day trip.

Any guidance as to what is causing it would be helpful. As you can see, wood is wet when looking inside the access panel and water is dripping off of the metal 'skirt' around PUP just in the same area. This is in a '18 228BHSE and only the 3rd time we have used the camper ever.

Prob will take into the dealer since I just purchased it in March of this year and is still under warranty.Click image for larger version

Is there a drain hose inside that panel that is supposed to drain out the panel?

Ok, went back and looked and took pics. I do not see a drain hose but I took more pics out there. Is it missing?

Given the amount of water leaking out and that it hasn't happened before my first guess would be one of the water line connections has wiggled loose. They don't do a good job of tightening these at the factory. I'd check the sink and water pump connections or anything else that's close by. I'm not sure where your water pump is but from your pic it appears most of the water is leaking from the cabinet to the rear of the fridge.
The drain line from the fridge is usually a small white corrugated plastic pipe with a vent cap on the end, either sticking out through one of the vents or through the floor.
Good luck!

Where you hooked up to city water? That's an obvious place to look too, and if you were using water from the holding tank the pump should have cycled. That's way too much water to be from the fridge.

We were hooked up to city water. I have not used the holding tank yet. It was a lot of water.

If you're handy open the access panel beside the fridge and you'll see where the plastic water line(should be blue) attaches to the city water connection on the outside, Hook up your camper to your garden hose and I'll bet it's leaking there. Just tighten it up and you should be fine, just make sure you release all the water pressure in the line first.

Thanks! I will try this. More and more I am thinking it could be the water connection. I was shoving paper towels in the corner where it was leaking and I probably went through 20 paper towels in 4 days soaking it up. I still am going to fix the fridge drain issue too. Looks to be non-existent

Good luck. Try looking underneath the camper by the fridge, the drain line might be there, I have a highwall and mine comes through the floor, not sure about your model though.

Most pop-up fridges do not have a drain or drain hose. There has to be a drain on the bottom on the inside of the fridge for there to be a need for a drain hose. Pop-up fridges are mounted directly to the floor and don't have a freezer. High walls are the exception.

Yep, I think most that answered didn't notice that the OP has a popup with a 3-way fridge. And that this thread is in the popup section.

My '19 Premier 2716G has a raised floor near the vent wall that slopes down, and a floor drain hole in is the lower floor section of the refrigerator cabinet for it to drain out of. Is that floor drain plugged, covered, or just missing?

If you read Dometic fridge installation instructions (download from Dometic site), you will see that the raised lip on the lower vent causes Dometic to require a floor vent as well. In my A-frame, this floor vent is pretty much covered by water hose (Pex) and wiring - none of which it easily moved. So the floor vent is pretty useless.

This floor vent is NOT connected to a drain hose from the fridge interior. There is no drain for the inside of the fridge on any A-frame or PUP fridge I have seen, nor does any of the applicable Dometic literature show one. A one piece liner is used on the inside of the fridge with no openings along the bottom to drain condensation or liquid spills. You sponge out any liquid collecting in the bottom.

just my experiences

Leaking under fridge

Im not sure if your model has a fold down sink? If it does check the drain line/hose connected to the bottom of your sink didn’t get pinched or punctured due to folding it down. This happened with mine and I had water in the same area you showed in your picture. I changed the stock hose out with a heavy duty hose.
