Lift Rail Wind Stabilizers

We were provided with 2x "C" channel stabilizers that snap onto diagonal corners of our HW27SC roof lift rails. I would like to find 2 more for windy situations (see https://www.forestriverforums.com/fo...ml#post2733485).

I cannot find any part # markings or markings of any kind on the 2 I have. Does anyone know where I could procure 2 more of these? Photo's attached.

Those are not stabilizers for the wind. They are safety rails, incase the cable that lifts the top fails. Stops the roof from falling on anyone inside.

That being said, they could "maybe" increase the stability of the top in the wind.

Per Bob those are safety brackets in case of lift failure. They won't do anything for wind stabilization as the lift rails don't bend, they sway at the top and bottom attachment points.
I recall ours having 4 safety brackets, but then I seem to be forgetting more lately.......

Thanks guys! I have no idea where we got the information that these were to help with wind stabilization. Makes sense for lift system safety backup. I looked in my manual yesterday but didn't see any mention of these devices. Our RV dealer may have told us what these were for.

That being said, are they supposed to be installed on diagonal corners like we've been doing? We usually put one door side front and the other pullout side back. Upon some reading, some lift systems use the door as part of lift system safety backup. Would it be better to put the two rails on the roof side opposite the door?

yes, they go on diagonal corners.

Yes the door will provide some safety to a lift cable fail, but it might also destroy the door, or warp it's fitting.

Put safety rails as per instructions! DIAGONIALLLY! Do not over think this.
