Lift Tubes - How Much Grease?

Hi Everyone,

I've got a 2009 Palomino Yearling Y4124 that we've had for a number of years now. Nothing in the documentation seems to indicate how much grease I should be adding to the lift tubes. Does anyone have any experience here? I pumped about a third of a tube into it today and didn't see any pushing out anywhere.

The part isn't highly obvious in the pictures, but there's a bit of blue grease still on one of the zerks.

Thanks,

Mike

Grease

So my dealer never told me about greasing the lift tubes, Iím sure it was in the manual, but I got like 10 different manuals and I couldnít find this answer either.

Last year my cable broke and when I disassembled everything, these are just hollow tubes where there is a push rod that pushes these giant springs up to extend the top. Itís actually a very simple process (took a weekend to complete properly though) but I felt like mine had barely any grease on them. Well, I unloaded about 3/4 of a tube Of grease last year after I did the replacement cable and added about 12 shots to each fitting today when I opened everything up. I donít think it can hurt.
